Happy New Year

2009 is coming and happy new year,my new eve just set at home and watched the TV,then prepared my test for next week,my English Literature test.Next week,she will test us the The Canterbury Tales,however,there are many kind of story and there are all very interesting,for example, "The Nun's Priest's Tale" is a beast fable. I also have to understand Chaucer's writing skill,she may ask us some questions about what is Chaucer's writing skill,etc. Finally,The Canterbury Tales reflex many situations for that age,for example,First,the ideal of class,every people do their won thing or work due to their class,and no one will resist their class and their fate.Second,he record many kind of story,such as beast fable,courtly love etc.Third,he wirte all the story truely and realistically.

The Celluloid Closet Questions

1.In my opinion,if someone believe that gay men and lesbians are all crazy people,then he/she is absolutely wrong,I think gay men and lesbians are formal person,and they have no different to other formal people.People always have stereotype to gay men and lesbians,and also have many wrong thinking to them,for example,some people think gay men and lesbians are all crazy persons.However,the only different place between gay men and lesbians to people is the sex which people like,most people like opposite sex but gay men and lesbians is opposite.People still have more wrong thinning to them,for instance,people may think gay men and lesbians are all have AIDS,it is wrong and why they have high percentage to get AIDS because they don't protect themselves well,not because they are gay.Therefore,government should improve our education that teach us the right knowledge to gay men and lesbians,and don't let people misunderstand gay men and lesbians any more.
3.In my opinion,it is true that public people can acceptable lesbians showing physical affection,but they can't acceptable gay men to do this,it may be unfair to gay men,however,this situation is really exist and I think it is the same in Taiwan. According to Taiwan's custom,we used to think men is independent and courage,and women is moderate and virtuous,so it is our stereotype to men and women,our eduction also teach us this is true for men and women's characteristics.However,due to this stereotype,when we see two girls holding hands in the street,we think it is a regular situation and it is normal that girls like to anywhere with at least one girl.In Taiwan,it is regular situation that two good friends will holding their hands when they go to anywhere for female,but it is strange for male,and male who do this people will to make fun of them.Therefore,we used to think men is brave and independent,hence if we see two men holding hands on the street,we can't acceptable immediately because those two men is broken our thinking in the past and what education teach us.

Movie Issue-The Phantom of the Opera

I want to talk about my thinkings after I watch the movie"The Phantom of the Opera".

This film is directed by Joel Schumacher.However,it is a long story and those songs are very wonderful. The film began with a old man who buy a music box throung the auction and the time when he went to his wife's grave,director insert some scenes during the time he went to his wife's grave,the past memorys.Phantom is a genius,an arter, architect etc and he have the sounds of angel,he is angel of music.However,due to his body's defects,people can't accept him and his personailty is misrepresent.He teach Christina how to sing and to inspire her beautiful sounds,but she refuse him and betray him.He doesn't know the way how to love her and doesn't know how to express his feeling,so the feeling which Christina to him from worship to pity and hate.Therefore,I think Phantom can get his true love in the final,but I'm wrong,however,he know the new meaning of love finally,I think it is also a good thing to gald.

Spanish Class

Today was the last day of 2008 and today's Spanish class also very interesting.Our Spanish teacher asked us to memorized subjects and auxiliary verbs,and he also asked us some questions,for example,how are you or who are you.When one of my classmates answer his questions perfectly or without no mistakes,he will give him/her a candy as prize and this test was to volunteer,students accepted the challenge voluntarily.However,some of my classmates got the candy because their answers were perfect and they passed the test only once,but there still some classmates' answers were wrong,so they have to test again.Some classmates answered his questions was not very perfectly,hence he told them only could choose a small one.
In fact,it is a challenge for us,because we have to repeated the subjects and auxiliary verbs correctly,and also have to answered teacher's questions perfectly,especially in front of other classmates.It was very nervous for me when I have to answered teacher's questions in front of other classmates and also have to without no mistakes. Fortunately,teacher was very nice,he helped us to finished his questions and give us many suggestions. Finally,It was a very good chance for me to practice my second foreign language and I also could increased a little brave when I have to talked to teacher in front of others.

Our Show

I'm glad that our show have already finished and everyone were very prefect.
No one have trouble and the show processing smoothly.In fact,I was very nervous in the beginning,I was worried that I will forgot my lines,because I was too nervous that I forgot my lines every time when we practiced our show,but I didn't forgot any lines in the formal show time. :)
However,our teacher gave us some advices after she watched our show,both negative advices and positive advices.Positive advices were that our show were humorous and lively etc,and negative advices were that our show was too short,our costumes were not identically and our answering a curtain call was not very formal. Finally,it is a real precious experience and opportunity to me,and when the time we have to play our performance in the future,we have more experiences than others who didn't choose the course.It is a good thing for me to increase my courage and become more and more poised when I have to speech to many people in the public place or perhaps I have to speech in many students because I become a teacher one day.

Robert Frost - The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

And having perhaps the better claim,

The Road Not Taken is a famous poem written by Robert Frost. In my opinion,in the beginning,author wants to talk to readers that sometimes we have to make choose in our life and we have two rode to continue our life,but we can't choose two on the same time.As a result of if you regret you choose and want to choose the other road,then you have waste many time and have to waste more time walk the other road again. And now he compared two roads,one is curved road in the undergrowth.The other road is a grassy road and seems to be the better coose than the other one.However,next morning is coming and he alo nade choose.Finally,he walk on the road he choose and he think if he has to come back one day,he want telling with a sign in his every age.He took the roda which less traveler will choose and everythine become different.

Conversation

My classmate and I have a conversation with our class teacher in Dec,29.
She is a nice teacher and I like her so much.She ask us many questions about our life and we talk to her almost one and an half of a hour.However,we talk to her several our opinions,both negative and positive opinions.For example,we tell her there are some subjects is hard to us and we feel confused to these subjects,and some teachers is very nice,we very like his/her class,etc.
In fact,she always stand in a objective point of view to tell us her advise and her tone of speaking is very euphemistic.When we talk about that some subjects is hard to us ,she always encourage us and give us the different ideas that we never though before.Therefore,I'm glad that she is our class teacher(because our class is so big that to divide into two parts,so we have two class teachers) and we always met good teachers to teach us.I also feel it is regrettable that the other class teacher was left and the other classmates change another class teacher.I' happy we didn't change class teacher.
